Matthew Chang Perfumes: A Fresh Take on Fragrance in Anguk

Tucked into the calm alleys of Anguk, the Matthew Chang Perfumes flagship store brings a playful yet elegant spirit to Seoul’s perfume scene. Known for its signature tennis-themed branding and fresh citrusy scents, the store offers an immersive fragrance experience unlike any other.

A Conceptual Playground for the Senses

From the moment you enter, the space is a visual delight. Clean architectural lines, fields of vibrant florals, and dozens of tennis balls set the tone — light, sporty, and imaginative. The center counter features rows of perfumes with minimalist white packaging, all framed by seasonal fruits and vivid florals.

The blue-and-yellow palette recalls summer matches and sun-drenched afternoons — an intentional nod to the brand’s joyful DNA. Every corner is curated to feel like part boutique, part art installation.

Try, Sniff, Play

The store encourages touch and exploration. Testers are neatly aligned across surfaces, inviting visitors to sample each scent directly. You’ll spot racquets resting beside perfume bottles, blue tennis balls printed with “matthew chang perfumes,” and crates filled with fresh citrus — lemons, oranges, and yuzu — reinforcing the brand’s fresh and juicy top notes.

In one corner, a mini cart setup displays bottles like market fruit, while another area showcases campaign visuals across a giant LED screen.

Signature Scents

Matthew Chang’s fragrances lean into clean, uplifting citrus accords with subtle musky finishes. They’re perfect for daily wear and seasonless, designed to be unisex and universally flattering. Each perfume comes in a clean square bottle with a rounded white cap — simple, sophisticated, and gift-ready.
